About Petroleum & Natural Gas
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas regulates the exploration, production, refining, distribution, and pricing of petroleum products and natural gas in India. It oversees major PSUs like ONGC, IOC, BPCL, HPCL, and GAIL, along with the Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) which governs pipelines, city gas distribution (CGD), and retail fuel outlets.
